Refurbishment of garden

Client: Federal State of Bavaria, represented by the Government Works Office Munich 2

The task was to re-structure the park-like garden with its stock of old trees close to the imposing former Thieme family townhouse built in 1884 and to give the garden a new design, suitable to the building. One can strongly sense the aura of the old trees. Thus the existing circumstances become the design theme proper. Geometrical paths and terraces create spaces of differentiated design in which to spend time. The area adjacent to the building can be furnished with tables for employees. The generous spaces under the tree roof are planted with ivy. This is intended to create an impression of calm and elegance.
