Jutta Giessel was born in Kaufbeuren in the Allgaeu/Bavaria. After finishing her landscape architecture studies at the University of Geisenheim she lived in the Rheingau. She gathered extensive professional experience in Wiesbaden, Riedstadt at the nature protection area Kühkopf and Munich. In these years she concentrated on new tasks of design, which strongly influenced by the character of the regional distinctions in the different landscapes. In 1993 she founded her own firm of landscape architecture in Munich.

The aim of the plans produced by the practice founded by Jutta Giessel is to develop sites with a distinct identity and a high quality of construction, in harmony with their architecture, their existing surroundings and their landscape character.
The commitment to balance, measure and caution, the appreciation of the atmosphere and the social context are building blocks in the planning process. Economic rationale and behaviour as well as technically grounded project management are self-eveident.
